Residents Love Madison Crossing Active Adult Community in Old Bridge for Architectural Diversity and Community Spirit

Popular Community Offers Condos, Townhomes and Villa Homes in a

Village-Style Setting

Old Bridge, NJ – January 14, 2010 – The slow economy hasn’t slowed new home sales at Madison Crossing at Birch Hill, the village-style community for Active Adults aged 55 and better in Old Bridge, NJ. Plenty of interested homebuyers ready for a pre-retirement or retirement address have been streaming through the unique community every week, and after seeing the full line of architectural designs from local builder/developer PRC Homes, and after spending time getting to know some of the current residents who serve as “Community Ambassadors,” they are realizing that Madison Crossing has a lot more to offer than other local 55+ neighborhoods.

When you stroll through Madison Crossing’s streets and chat with residents, they all share the same opinion – they love their new home and their new community. For example, there are relatively new residents Demitri and Raysa Calabrese, who moved to Madison Crossing last June. Long-time residents of Freehold, they sold their traditional single-family home there and purchased a villa home at Madison Crossing. It’s the type of home purchase  that many people their age refer to as a “move down,” given the switch to a home that is sized for little to no maintenance. To listen to the Calabreses, however, it was a definite move up in lifestyle.

“This feels like its own little town – it’s not enormous and the people are extremely nice,” said Demitri Calabrese recently. “It’s a picturesque setting, the homes don’t all look the same, and we really like our villa home,” Mr. Calabrese added. Madison Crossing’s villas offer the character and interior space of very generously sized single-family homes, with the lower maintenance of attached townhomes. All of the villas are clad in brick or stone and all have a 1 or  2-car garage. The villa homes offer up  to 3 bedrooms and up to 3 ½ baths, formal living and dining rooms, and kitchens that open onto family rooms to create a “greatroom” space that’s perfect for entertaining. All villas also feature first-floor owner’s suites.

In addition to their new home and new neighbors, one of the biggest benefits the Calabreses found in Madison Crossing was its location. “It’s close to a lot of things we enjoy, and because it’s close to where we used to live, it’s kept us close to family and friends,” said Mr. Calabrese. That’s a theme that’s echoed often among Madison Crossing residents, who relish that fact that they can have the 55+ home that fits them best, without having to move across New Jersey, or to another state entirely. Residents even list the PRC Homes representatives as a Madison Crossing benefit, and Mr. Calabrese called them “…responsive, attentive – just great.”

In addition to its villa homes like the one purchased by the Calabreses, Madison Crossing at Birch Hill also offers three-level garage townhomes with elevators, and spacious condominium flats with underground parking, all in distinct neighborhood enclaves. Sidewalks and streetlamps make the community feel like a classic small town, and the 7,500 square foot Clubhouse offers everything from a comprehensively equipped fitness center to tennis, bocce, card and game rooms, and a heated outdoor pool. An adjacent pond, surrounded by a fitness trail, attracts deer and other wildlife from the adjoining mature woodlands. Madison Crossing at Birch Hill is located on Route 18 in Old Bridge, within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.
